Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth have both made ‘formals proposals’ to sign FC Porto’s Evanilson, reports Tuesday’s edition of O Jogo.
The 24-year-old striker played 42 games last season for Porto, and put in an impressive set of statistics with 25 goals and seven assists.
O Jogo don’t seem very impressed with the offers from the Premier League duo, saying they were ‘not even reaching €40m’.
Bournemouth are picked out first and it’s said they’ve offered €30m as a fixed fee and then a further €5m in potential bonus payments.
Porto haven’t been impressed with either offer and they feel the bids fall short of the Brazilian’s market value. Evanilson has a contract lasting until June 2027 and is protected by a €100m release clause, so there’s no worry in that regard.
Porto are said to be aware they won’t be getting €100m or anything close to that amount this summer. They seem to have a valuation in their head but O Jogo don’t report what that is.
Other, unnamed, Premier League clubs are also thought to be keen.
