Olympique Marseille have received good news in their pursuit of Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah, as the Gunners are ready to lower their demands.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that Arsenal have changed their stance ‘in recent hours’ when it comes to selling Nketiah.
They explain that reports linking Marseille with a move for Elye Wahi have been noted by Arsenal, who are seemingly concerned that the French side won’t continue their efforts for Nketiah.
It is now up to the Phocéens to decide whether or not they want to move forward and continue talks with Arsenal or move on definitively.
The big hold up, despite Roberto de Zerbi having been keen and the striker showing an interest in the move too, had been Arsenal’s demands.
They made their first offer earlier this month and were waiting for a response from Arsenal. That response has now been sent, it seems, with the Gunners scrambling to ensure they don’t miss out on a potential big sale.
