There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are showing interest in Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon as they look to bring in experienced left back this summer.

The Spaniard looks surplus to requirements at Spurs and may need to move on in this transfer window.

Haber Sarikirmizi have reported on comments made by Mustafa Özgür Sancar after revealing Galatasaray’s interest in the Tottenham player. The Galatasaray commentator said the Turkish champions are insisting on signing Reguilon.

“Galatasaray have decided to buy a left-back. Sergio Reguilon is a player that Galatasaray are really interested in. After the Super Cup defeat, important transfers have to be made. Derrick Köhn makes too many mistakes defensively. Galatasaray needs a solid left-back like Sergio Reguilon and will insist,” said Özgür Sancar.

Reguilon spent last season on loan at Manchester United and Brentford after being frozen out at Tottenham. The player seem to be in the plans of Ange Postecoglou and Spurs are ready to offload him this summer.

Sevilla has been reported as a possible destination for the 27-year-old, but there’s perhaps a better deal possible with Galatasaray.

The defender made 28 appearances during his loan spells last season. He’s contracted to Tottenham until June 2025, which puts some downwards pressure on his price.
