Fulham expected to make fresh attempt for player – Marco Silva’s side tabled offer, club want ‘little more’

Last month, Fluminense made a counter-offer to Fulham after they tabled an offer for André Trindade.

On Monday, O Globo reported Fulham’s offer for the midfielder is around €25m and that’s no longer valid.

Goal in Brazil say Fulham’s negotiations to sign the 23-year-old are now on hold because they haven’t yet responded to Fluminense’s counter-proposal request.

Marco Silva’s side proposed €25m including bonuses. The Brazilian club rejected it and requested a ‘little more’ money to sanction André’s sale this summer.

Fulham haven’t yet returned with an improved offer, while the player has no bids from other clubs. At this moment in time, Fluminense, who are waiting to receive offers, have no plans to lower their request.

The Brazil international was on the sidelines for over two months between the end of April and June due to a knee injury. His entourage believes this, coupled with the club’s poor start to the season, makes it difficult for Fluminense to receive an offer better than the one proposed by Fulham.

Goal claim Marco Silva’s side are expected to make a fresh attempt to sign André towards the end of this window and there’s belief Fluminense could sanction his sale.

Last week we covered claims from Brazil that Fulham believe their offer will be accepted eventually. The player was then pulled out of an away match and there were suggestions that was a sign of an imminent agreement, but, alas, no. This saga drags on.
