The Italian media continues to provide ongoing developments around AC Milan’s pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal this summer.

Earlier today, MilanLive.it reported Spurs can secure a percentage on a future sale as part of the deal for the right-back’s sale.

Tottenham are yet to find an agreement with the Serie A side, and Calciomercato bring the latest on the negotiations between the two clubs.

Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani and director Geoffrey Moncada aim to close the negotiations for the 25-year-old as soon as possible, preferably by Wednesday. This would be possible if they were to meet the Premier League side’s request.

The Rossoneri initially offered €13m in fixed fee. Last weekend, they informed Tottenham of their willingness to increase the bid by €1m.

Calciomercato state this won’t be enough as Tottenham won’t consider Emerson’s sale without €15m in fixed fee. It’s claimed Ange Postecoglou’s side are ‘adamant’ with their demand of the fixed fee, while they are open to discussing the bonuses part of the deal.

Milan’s attitude towards these negotiations has been increasingly odd and it feels almost like a matter of pride now to try and get him for less than the €15m fixed fee they didn’t want to meet.
