On July 19th, Fluminense president Mário Bittencourt revealed that his side have made a counter offer after Fulham made a bid for André Trindade.

Last Tuesday, Lance! stated Marco Silva’s side had made a £25m bid, and had no plans to increase their offer. Later that day, journalist Bruno Andrade reported Fulham believe Fluminense will eventually give in and accept their proposal.

A day later, another journalist André Hernan said Fulham are preparing to make a new bid of around €30m for the midfielder.

The Premier League side have still not managed to get this deal over the line. According to O Globo, Fulham will have to make a new attempt if they want to secure the 23-year-old’s services.

They explain Fulham’s offer is around €25m [Lance! reported it to be £25m] and this is ‘no longer valid’. The report says the London club’s bid has ‘expired’ and there has been no fresh proposal so far.

André is awaiting movements, while his team are waiting to receive offers higher than the one proposed by Silva’s side.

If earlier claims are to be believed, Fulham are unlikely to make an improved offer, and plan to wait until the end of the window.
