Last Friday, we covered claims from the Dutch press which stated Feyenoord have made a firm approach to sign Brighton & Hove Albion’s Facundo Buonanotte on a loan deal.
It was also reported they’ve held talks with the Premier League side over a potential deal this summer.
The Eredivisie club have made progress in their pursuit of the Brighton player.
That’s according to 1908.nl, who say Feyenoord have an ‘agreement in principle’ with the Seagulls to sign the 19-year-old on a loan deal.
Feyenoord paid €8.3m to sign Dávid Hancko, their club-record signing, meaning it’ll cost at least over €16.5m to make Buonanotte’s stay permanent.
Having agreed a deal with Brighton, 1908.nl say the Dutch club have to sort out the ‘final details’ with the midfielder to complete the loan transfer. If the deal goes through, he will be their first signing of this window.
The Argentine joined Brighton in January 2023, and has made 50 appearances in all competitions.
