Tottenham player could travel soon for medical at new club – Final details being ironed out

Sportmediaset, via MilanNews24, are reporting on Italian television that Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan have ‘reached an agreement’ for Emerson Royal to join the Serie A club.

The final details of the move are said to be being ironed out, presumably related to payment terms, and if everything goes ok then the Brazilian could travel to Italy this weekend for medical tests.

The agreement figure is put at €15m plus a further €3m in bonus payments. Perhaps Tottenham could have got a little more but they’re probably bored to tears with it all at this stage.

AC Milan have been chasing Emerson all summer, although it’s not a transfer which has really caught the imagination of their fans. There’s been repeated insinuations in the Italian media that the Rossoneri following don’t believe the defender was that good at Tottenham and therefore they’re not sure why they’re signing him.

Emerson himself spoke out earlier this summer and made it clear a transfer was on his mind. He hopes a move can see him return to the Brazilian national selection.
