There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Trabzonspor have tabled another offer for Southampton forward Paul Onuachu.
The Nigeria international has been linked with a return to the Super Lig side this summer after impressing during his loan spell with them last season.
Haber Anlik today report Trabzonspor have bid €7.5m for the Southampton man as their search for a centre forward continues. It’s claimed they are now waiting on a response from the Premier League club, but it’s reported the asking price is €10m.
With the situation dragging on with the 30-year-old, Trabzonspor have a back-up plan in Burnley forward Wout Weghorst. The Dutchman has been strongly linked with a move away from Turf Moor this summer and the Super Lig side have been making concrete steps to sign him.
Onuachu made 25 appearances last season for Trabzonspor, scoring an impressive 17 goals. He’s contracted to Southampton until June 2026.
