Back in May, Sky Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg said Jordan Torunarigha’s displays for KAA Gent last season had caught Leeds United’s attention. Earlier this month, journalist Sacha Tavolieri stated West Ham United and Crystal Palace are also after him.

The centre-back was a regular for the Jupiler Pro League side last season, and made 44 appearances in all competitions.

TuttoMercatoWeb mention West Ham, Crystal Palace and Leeds when discussing Monza’s interest in the 26-year-old.

The Germany-born Nigeria international joined Gent from Hertha Berlin, initially on loan in January 2022, and his stay there was made permanent later that year. He has less than a year left on his deal and the Belgian club are therefore open to selling him this summer.

TMW believe Gent would look to collect around €5m, while the Serie A side are looking to offer around €3-3.5m. They aren’t alone as the defender has attracted interest from West Ham and Crystal Palace in recent weeks.

It’s further claimed Leeds tabled a €3m bid in May, which was turned down by Gent. They didn’t make an improved offer, although now may be the time to do so.

Gent;s bid isn’t thought to be enough, and it’s claimed West Ham, Crystal Palace or Leeds United would need to pay around €5m.

That figure seems negotiable.
