There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Fenerbahce are showing interest in Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard.
The Turkish club have been linked with a host of Premier League midfielders in recent weeks as their new manager Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen in this department.
Takvim today report Norgaard is the latest midfield target for Fenerbahce and that executives from the Istanbul club have already entered into transfer talks with the Danish international. There are no reports of any negotiations being held between the two clubs.
It’s claimed the 30-year-old is looking to leave Brentford this summer and subsequently they are looking to take advantage of the situation. In the past week Nottingham Forest’s Ibrahim Sangare and Crystal Palace’s Jefferson Lerma have also been linked with a move to the Yellow Canaries.
Christian Norgaard made 33 appearances for Brentford last season, scoring two goals. He’s contracted to the Bees until June 2025, with the west London club having the option to extend for another year.
