Earlier today, we covered claims from Germany which stated West Ham United have held talks with Bayern Munich over signing Noussair Mazraoui. It was also said the Premier League side are looking to sign him on a loan deal with an option to buy.

Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg picks up on that and provides the right-back’s stance on going out on loan this summer.

The 26-year-old hasn’t featured regularly since he arrived at the Allianz Arena on a free transfer in 2022.

He’s open to leaving the German club, as long as it’s on a permanent transfer or on loan with an obligation to buy.

In other words, Mazraoui won’t favour joining West Ham on loan with a buying option, as his intention is to leave the Bundesliga side permanently. The Hammers have to find a different formula if they want to secure his services.

Vincent Kompany’s side are ready to part ways with the Morocco international for €20m. Plettenberg says ‘negotiations are ongoing’ between West Ham and Bayern, but the two clubs haven’t yet found an agreement.

As well as West Ham, Manchester United could consider signing the former Ajax man if they can part ways with Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
