Yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that Fulham have been following Besiktas youngster Mustafa Hekimoğlu for a considerable time.

The 17-year-old has been impressing in Besiktas’ youth set up which led to involvement with the Super Lig’s senior team last season.

Subsequently, Fulham are in the race to sign the attacker with claims they are preparing an offer to sign him. However, the latest reports in the Turkish media say Fulham are expected to face competition.

According to Takvim there are several Premier League sides which are monitoring the situation with the forward, but other than Fulham they have not been disclosed.

Whether Besiktas are prepared to sell the player this summer is unknown, but their manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst is said to be keen to work with him next season.

Hekimoğlu has yet to cement a place in Besiktas’ first team, but last season he made brief appearances in the Turkish Cup and in the Conference League. He’s contracted to the Black Eagles until June 2027.
