Today is the last day that Manchester United can use their purchase clause over Sofyan Amrabat.
The midfielder arrived on loan from Fiorentina in the summer 2023 transfer window, in a deal which was worth €10m to the Serie A club.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that the finances of that loan were already great for La Viola and if Manchester United use their €20m purchase clause then it would be a ‘perfect’ deal.
However, that’s not expected to happen. That will obviously be confirmed today, with it being the deadline and expiration of the clause.
Gazzetta dello Sport make it clear there’s a distinct possibility of Manchester United and Fiorentina sitting around a table to come to an agreement at another price. That would present a discount for the Red Devils, which could be seriously taken into consideration as the window goes on.
