Matias Soule continues to be the subject of a transfer battle between Leicester City and AS Roma.
Juventus have been prepared to sell the 21-year-old this summer as part of a plan to sell multiple youngsters and invest that money in other areas of the squad.
Soule spent last season on loan at Frosinone and did pretty well on a personal basis. The club themselves finished 18th in Serie A and were subsequently relegated from Italy’s top division.
Leicester City have made an offer worth €25m plus a further €5m in potential bonus payments. Gazzetta dello Sport report Roma have now returned to the charge and formulated an offer similar to that from Foxes but with more easily achievable bonuses.
Gazzetta believe the bonuses Roma are offering are ‘almost guaranteed’, compared to what Leicester City put on the table and which was rejected by the Turin club.
There’s been contradicting reports on whether Soule wants to go the Foxes, or England generally, although it’s worth noting the Italian sport media will often insist a player wants to remain in Serie A regardless of the reality of the situation.
