Player wants to leave Leeds with ‘immediate effect’ – Club in ‘direct talks’ with Whites

On Tuesday, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg reported Eintracht Frankfurt have held concrete talks with Leeds United’s Rasmus Kristensen. He also said the Whites are requesting €15m for the Denmark international.

Denmark’s Tipsbladet backs up the Bundesliga side’s interest in the 27-year-old, who was on loan at AS Roma last season.

It’s claimed Eintracht Frankfurt want to sign the Leeds player on a loan deal this summer, and there’s no mention whether it includes an option/obligation to buy.

The right-back was recently seen with FC Midtjylland director Claus Steinlein, and the two talked about the possibility of him returning to his former club. The report states this is unlikely to take shape in this window.

Plettenberg again took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that the German club are in ‘direct talks’ with Leeds to find an agreement to sign the 27-year-old. The two clubs are discussing the option of a permanent deal or loan with an option/obligation to buy.

The journalist states ‘verbal agreement is close. Last details to be clarified’, without making it clear whether that’s between the two clubs or Eintracht Frankfurt and the Leeds man.

Kristensen, for part, is keen to join the German club with ‘immediate effect’.
