One of the busiest Premier League clubs in the market so far, it doesn’t look like Aston Villa are slowing down.
When claims first emerged of Saudi interest in Moussa Diaby, it appeared to be something Unai Emery’s side would quickly brush off and move on.
The 25-year-old only joined Aston Villa in July 2023, and in his first season he scored ten goals and added nine assists in 54 matches. From there looked like a good position to kick on and have a better campaign but it seems the Birmingham club are ready to talk.
The $65m works out at around £50m, and Diaby himself would earn $12m a year.
Aston Villa are in ‘constant contact’ with Al-Ittihad and there’s the suggestion of an agreement being reached soon.
