This week, we’ve covered multiple articles from Portugal which have detailed Crystal Palace’s interest in Marcus Edwards.

Sporting CP are ready to sell the right winger this summer and it’s the Eagles who appear to have been showing the most interest. Tottenham have repeatedly been linked with a move for their former player, although recently it appears their appetite for such a move has weakened.

Ange Postecoglou doesn’t seem keen on bringing the 25-year-old to Spurs, and therefore Tottenham won’t be taking advantage of their percentage clause.

When Edwards was allowed to move from Spurs to Vitória de Guimarães, the Premier League club kept a percentage of a future transfer. That then rolled into his contract upon a transfer to Sporting and even after being reduced during negotiations for Pedro Porro, it still stands at 35%.

Friday’s edition of Record reports Crystal Palace have offered €15m for the winger, and that isn’t close to Sporting’s demands. The Portuguese club are said to want €25-50m, a figure which feels ambitious to say the least.

Al Nassr also have interest, but the player isn’t keen on that.

Perhaps a little extra from Crystal Palace could do the trick.
