Luton Town defender Teden Mengi has interest from Fulham and OGC Nice this summer, with the latter considering him as a replacement for Jean-Clair Todibo.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the French side could be set to step up their interest in the Luton man as Todibo is ever closer to departing, while Fulham are also keen.
They explain that Nice are working hard to reshape their squad this summer, having already lost Khéphren Thuram and with Todibo expected to follow him out of the door before long.
He is believed to be ‘very popular’ with those in charge at the Allianz Riviera, who believe he has several aspects to his game that would make him a smart signing.
They are not the only ones to have noticed his performances for Luton last season, though, a Fulham are also keen.
They see him as the perfect successor to Tosin Adarabioyo, who left the club to join Chelsea on a free transfer this summer.
His value fluctuates between €12m and €14m, a figure that the Premier League side could presumably afford if they were to turn their interest into something more concrete.
That’s an if at this point, and it seems Nice are also waiting for Todibo to depart before they step forward themselves, but Luton may need to prepare themselves, nonetheless.
