Tottenham are set to complete a deal for Fenerbahce star Sebastian Szymanski and are finalising the details of the move.
That’s according to Aksam, who report Tottenham are in the final stages of a deal for the 25-year-old Poland international.
Aksam report that Ange Postecoglou’s side, who have been following the Polish star for a long time, are in the process of reaching an agreement with Fenerbahce to sign him on a permanent basis this summer.
According to their information, Tottenham have man an initial offer of €25m plus bonuses for the midfielder, a figure which the Turkish side were ‘positive about’.
It is not explained whether they have accepted this offer, just that they viewed it positively, suggesting that there is a deal there to be done.
Indeed, it is stated that the 25-year-old is expected to sign for Tottenham ‘in a short time’ and Fenerbahce are already planning to use the money brought in from the sale to bolster their squad as they want to win the title next season.
They’re already in talks with star names to strengthen Jose Mourinho’s squad in a couple of positions, further hinting at funds coming in soon.
Whether that’s from a deal selling Szymanski to Tottenham remains to be seen, we’re certainly taking this with a pinch of salt for now, but in Turkey at least it seems they’re confident an agreement is close.
