Arsenal and Manchester United have Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow on their agenda, according to De Telegraaf journalist Valentijn Driessen.
On May 22nd, De Telegraaf stated the Gunners are looking at the 26-year-old as a cheap option as his asking price is around €13m. The Red Devils are now said to be interested in him.
Driessen talks about Arsenal and Manchester United’s interest when discussing the player’s situation on De Telegraaf podcast, the Kick-Off, and his comments are relayed by FR-Fans.nl.
Bijlow’s deal lasts until 2026, but the journalist claims he could leave the Eredivisie side this summer if Arsenal or Manchester United were to bet on him to become their second-choice stopper next season.
“Bijlow was in the interest of Manchester United and Arsenal, but everywhere as a second goalkeeper. He is used to that now. He is even the third goalkeeper here [at the Euros]. So, I think he can adapt to the role,” he said.
“Especially if he can go to such a big club, where you have so many matches that you always have to play a number of matches. I think that if those big clubs sign up for him, he will be gone.”
Earlier this month, Arsenal made David Raya’s stay permanent, a year after signing him on loan from Brentford. Aaron Ramsdale was Raya’s backup last season, and has been linked with a move away from the Emirates.
Bijlow could be an option for Mikel Arteta’s side if Ramsdale were to leave this summer.
