The Italian media always sounded positive about Emerson Royal’s transfer from Tottenham Hotspur to AC Milan, as all parties seem interested in finding a deal.
However, even though the player is believed to have an agreement with the Rossoneri, the negotiations between the clubs are not that simple.
That’s today claimed by Corriere Dello Sport, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, who claim there’s still some distance between Tottenham and Milan.
The Rossoneri reportedly offered €12m for the signing in ‘recent days’, and they now know they need to improve that bid to get the signing done.
It’s said that a new attempt could be made in the ‘next few hours’, with Milan now putting €15m on the table.
There’s no guarantee that will be enough to convince Tottenham, but that’s expected to ‘accelerate’ the process with a little more optimism about a deal in the next few days.
It seems clear that Tottenham are just waiting for a reasonable bid, and we shall see if that could be enough for a happy ending for all parties.
