Daniel Farke’s first season with Leeds United may not have gone strictly to plan, with Premier League promotion the obvious aim for all involved, but the manager certainly didn’t do a bad job and will be hopeful of better during the next campaign.
He appears to have support from those above him and as the Whites work through getting rid of the remnants of previous leadership groups, and players who didn’t want to be part of the future after relegation, they should have a better clarity and budget in the coming weeks.
Over in Germany, SC Paderborn are doing similar. They’re preparing for their pre-season camp with the hope they can have a great campaign and secure promotion back to Germany’s big time Bundesliga.
Neue Westfälische report manager Lukas Kwasniok has called up 17-year-old Luis Engelns to see what he can offer.
The manager is quoted as saying: “This is a boy who needs to be supported. Luis doesn’t have to go to school at the moment and is training with us anyway. The question didn’t even arise as to why he shouldn’t go.”
Luis Engelns just happens to be Daniel Farke’s son, so he’s one to to keep an eye on for Leeds United fans. Maybe if he succeeds, Farke can look at bringing him over to Yorkshire for further progression.
