On Monday, journalist Alfredo Pedullà reported Fiorentina have rejected a €15m bid tabled by Aston Villa for Michael Kayode. He also stated the Premier League side are expected to make a new attempt to sign the left-back.
A day later, Firenze Viola reported the Serie A side would need at least €30m to consider selling the 19-year-old in the summer window.

Within the report, it’s claimed Aston Villa are one of the English clubs to have stepped in to sign him. They also point out their €15m bid getting rejected by the Italian club.
New Fiorentina manager Raffaele Palladino has already held talks with the fullback and has promised him an important role next season.
La Nazione, relayed by Viola News, claim Aston Villa have made an offer of €20m, which was rejected by Fiorentina. They don’t make it clear if this is a new offer, considering earlier claims have stated the Villans have made a €15m bid.
Kayode is represented by VigoGlobalSport, and FirenzeViola interviewed the agency’s chief scout, Andrea Ritorni, to discuss the player’s future.
He says the defender is flattered by the reports linking him to other clubs, while has also dismissed claims of Kayode receiving concrete offers.
“The boy is doing great, he’s been training a lot in the last two weeks, he’s a golden boy and he cares a lot about the purple shirt,” he said.
“Of course, when offers like this arrive [referring to rumours of offers from the Premier League], it means that Fiorentina have a good player on their hands. I can tell you that there are no concrete offers, but the interest can only flatter the player and the club.
“It will be a hot few months on the transfer market but I would like to reiterate that Michael Kayode is a Fiorentina player.”
