Leeds United’s Diego Llorente spent the last 18 months on loan at AS Roma. Over the past few weeks, several claims from Italy have discussed his potential return to the Serie A side in the summer window.

On June 20th, Il Tempo reported Roma’s decisive lunge is missing to get this deal over the line, but they haven’t take this step so far.

Siamo La Roma claim the Leeds player’s future needs to be clarified. As of now, he’s not sure whether he will rejoin the Giallorossi, and is ‘waiting for the club’s final decision’.

Llorente’s deal with the Whites lasts until 2026, and what’s certain at this moment in time is that he won’t play for Daniel Farke’s side next season.

Leeds are said to value the centre-back at around €3-3.5m, which feels way too low. Daniele De Rossi appreciates the 30-year-old, but his side haven’t yet made the final decision because they are looking at other options.

Llorente believes he ‘deserves to be purchased outright’ after showcasing his qualities. There’s ‘still no signal’ from Roma, and if they were to buy the Leeds man, he would sign a three-year deal.

Earlier this week, the Spanish press reported Real Betis are looking at the Spaniard. They could make an approach if Roma were to not retain him.
