Liverpool have emerged as a new contender in the race to sign Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot, according to Sportitalia.
The Serie A side have appointed Thiago Motta as their new manager, and he wants to have the midfielder at his disposal next season.
With a deal expiring at the end of this month, Liverpool and Real Madrid are said to be looking to sign the 29-year-old on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, the Turin club have recently offered the France international a new two-year deal worth €7.5-8m per season.
The report says the Italian club and Rabiot ‘move away’, indicating that Juve aren’t willing to meet his agent’s request.
Sportitalia say Liverpool and Real Madrid have carried out polls, likely to find out the conditions to sign the Frenchman on a free transfer this summer.
As well as the Reds, a few unnamed Premier League sides have also made contact to sign Rabiot, who is moving ‘further and further away’ from Juventus.
