Over the past two years, Nottingham Forest have signed Danilo and Murillo from Palmeiras and Corinthians respectively.

The Reds continue to search for players in Brazil and are working to sign Corinthians’ Carlos Miguel in the summer window. He isn’t the only player on the Premier League side’s agenda.

According to UOL, Nottingham Forest have now set their sights on Palmeiras youngster Riquelme Fillipi.

The 17-year-old is yet to make his senior team debut for the Brazilian club. The forward is currently part of their U20 side, and has managed four goals and an assist from 14 games this year.

Riquelme has caught the attention of the European clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Porto.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have taken a step further by tabling an ‘official proposal’ of €5m, which is made up for €2.5m fixed fee plus €2.5m bonuses.

The report says Palmeiras haven’t responded positively to Nottingham Forest’s offer just yet because they have received concrete approaches from both PSG and Porto. There’s no mention of PSG or Porto tabling offers.

If Nottingham Forest were to overcome competition from PSG and Porto to sign Riquelme, he will not be able to arrive in the UK until he turns 18 years of age in September, and then would obviously need a work permit.
