With Nottingham Forest taking their time to trigger Carlos Miguel’s release clause at Corinthians, there may even be some impatience growing around the deal.
The Brazilian media, however, continues to bring updates on the chase. And UOL has some interesting information today.
They insist that Nottingham Forest have a verbal agreement with the goalkeeper, and are expected to trigger his €4m release clause this week.
The player reportedly told manager Antonio Oliveira he can play until then, so it’s all about Nottingham Forest accepting that, even though they don’t have to.
UOL writes that Carlos Miguel is set to sign a five-year contract with the Reds, having already told Corinthians that he’s leaving.
The situation is now in Nottingham Forest’s hands. Even though they’re triggering the release clause, it seems this would be a way to make it a more friendly deal.
