Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fábio Silva has had three loan spells in the last two years.
On June 6th, the striker revealed that he wants to leave the Premier League side in the summer window.
TuttoMercatoWeb have interviewed Silva’s agent Carlos Oliveira, who said Wolves failed to keep a promise they made to his client.
The Portugal U21 international was restricted to 373 minutes from 11 games for Wolves in the first half of the 2023/24 season, and this convinced him to go out on loan to Rangers in the winter market.
“The first part of the season at Wolves wasn’t the best, Fábio didn’t play much. Wolves had made promises to us, so Fábio was willing to stay in the team, but then the promises made were broken,” he said.
The representative is of the belief it’s “essential” for the attacker to find a club who can trust him and offer regular game time.
When TMW asked the agent if he a can see his client moving to Serie A, he said the Wolves player is likely to end up either in Italy or Spain this summer.
“I think it’s a very good league for him, we are prioritising the Spanish and Italian markets for next season. I think one of the two championships will be the next step for Fábio,” Oliveira explained.
The Wolves player’s agent has also confirmed he’s an option for Bologna and Fiorentina, as TMW say these two clubs are in the market for a new striker.
“Fábio is among their options. Giovanni Sartori, who I consider a master, and Bologna’s sporting director, Marco Di Vaio, appreciate Fábio. Raffaele Palladino, Fiorentina’s new coach, also likes him a lot,” he added.
“We will have to wait and see how the market evolves, also because there are some clubs that need to sell before making new additions.”
