Club ‘would not like to exceed €30m’ to sign Manchester United player – ‘Principle of understanding’ reached already

Over the past two weeks, the Italian media have regularly pushed Juventus as an option for Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood.

The 22-year-old spent the recently concluded season on loan at Getafe and the Red Devils want to get rid of him this summer.

On Thursday, Gazzetta dello Sport stated the Serie A side have a general agreement with the Manchester United player. It was also said the Premier League side are aiming to collect €40-50m.

Friday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport claims the Turin club are serious about the forward, and they are working on securing his services.

Napoli are also in the picture to sign him, and the Old Lady must not underestimate their league rivals. Juve have a ‘principle of understanding’ with Greenwood and this could give them an edge over the Naples club.

Thiago Motta’s side now have to find an agreement with Manchester United, and Corriere say they are requesting €50m for the attacker.

This is too high for Juve and taking their understanding with Greenwood into account, the report says they ‘would not like to exceed €30m’ to sign him.
