Over the past few weeks, the Italian media have regularly talked about AC Milan’s desire to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal in the summer window.
Milan’s interest in the right-back is also discussed in Brazil, and PL Brasil brings the latest on this case.
The Tottenham player has offers from several clubs, including Bayern Munich, but Milan are currently leading the transfer chase.
It’s claimed the Serie A side have offered €20m, but Spurs ‘won’t give up’ easily.
The north London club paid €25m to buy the fullback from Barcelona in 2021, and they now want the same figure to sanction his sale.
Emerson made 24 appearances in the recently concluded season, of which eight were this year. PL Brasil say he doesn’t fit into Tottenham’s plans for next season.
Ange Postecoglou’s side are aware of his qualities, and therefore aren’t willing to lower their demands, even though he isn’t in their plans.
Emerson is currently on vacation and has left his agent to sort out his future. The South American wants to play at a club where he will be valued and given regular game time.
Earlier this week, Gazzetta dello Sport stated that Tottenham have lowered their request from €30m to €20m. PL Brasil are now insisting Spurs want €25m, and there may be a possibility to conclude the deal for a fee between €20m and €25m.
