Rangers striker Sam Lammers appears to be set for a return to FC Utrecht this summer, with them keen on a deal for him.
That’s according to TransferWatch.nl, who say Lammers is close to agreeing a personal agreement with the Dutch side ahead of a permanent move.
Lammers spent the second half of this season on loan with Utrecht after falling down the pecking order at Ibrox under Philippe Clement.
He proved to be a big hit with the Dutch side, bagging 11 goals and three assists in 20 games for the club.
That would be the first step towards making a transfer happen and the Dutch club continue to negotiate with Rangers.
Philippe Clement and co are likely to be more than happy to see the striker depart Ibrox on a permanent basis but it remains to be seen what price they want for him.
His performances since January will only have convinced them they can get a good figure and perhaps recoup much of the €4.1m they paid for him in July 2023.
Negotiations are ongoing on that front either way and the striker closing in on a personal agreement is a positive move towards a deal being done.
