West Ham United have identified Celta Vigo’s Jørgen Strand Larsen as a target, according to a report from Spain.
The striker scored 13 goals and registered three assists from 37 La Liga games in the recently concluded season.
Speaking to Radio Galega’s Ao Contraataque, relayed by Moiceleste.com, Spanish journalist Víctor López says West Ham have shown interest in the 24-year-old.
According to López, Julen Lopetegui’s side have ‘tested the signing’ of Larsen, and as of now, the Hammers haven’t made an offer for him.
The Norway international’s deal lasts until 2028, but he’s expected to leave the La Liga side in the summer window.
Celta Vigo invested €12m to sign the attacker from Dutch side FC Groningen in 2022, and it’s claimed they consider that the time has come to sell him in the upcoming window.
Larsen has a €50m release clause in his deal, but the journalist states that the Spanish club aim to collect €30m for the Norwegian. It’s not mentioned whether West Ham are willing to meet Celta’s demand.
