With Cesare Casadei having played under Enzo Maresca at Leicester City in the first half of the season, it would seem natural that he’s used by the coach at Chelsea now.
There is, however, some interest showing up in Italy, where Lazio could again make an attempt to land him.
Corriere dello Sport writes that the Serie A side had already chased Casadei in January, and could make another attempt to sign him from Chelsea this summer.
It’s recalled that the idea was a loan with an obligation to buy, with the Blues having the chance to bring him back if they want.
The outlet writes that Casadei ‘would fit perfectly’ at Lazio, who don’t want to spend big on a new midfielder to replace Luis Alberto in the summer window.
The story claims, though, that Lazio already have other alternatives for the position. Their chase for the 21-year-old should really depend on Maresca’s wish to use him at Chelsea this season, and that’s something we shall only see in the coming months, once they kick off with their pre-season.
