Liverpool are ‘preparing an important offer’ for Midtjylland youngster Darío Osorio as they start the rebuild under Arne Slot.
That’s according to La Tercera, who say Liverpool are willing to offer $10m plus a future percentage for the youngster.
Osorio has been enjoying a rapid rise since he joined Midtjylland from Universidad de Chile last year, with eight goals and two assists in 24 games to date.
His signing was considered a risky one but the 20-year-old ‘seems ready to take the big leap’ and Liverpool could be ready to offer to him.
According to La Tercera they’re ‘preparing an important offer’ to try and secure his signature and get ahead of any potential competition.
They would offer $8-10m plus a future percentage on him, although whether Midtjylland would accept that remains to be seen. They’re not denying the interest from Liverpool and others at this moment in time.
“You will understand that we cannot comment on possible offers for our players. We cannot advance anything. Simply put, this is not the way we work,” sports director Ove Pederson is quoted as saying.
“I can only tell you that Darío Osorio is a great player and has had a great season.”
This type of deal is very much in the Michael Edwards mould, and he’s likely behind this advance.
