Aston Villa are one of the clubs in the race to sign OGC Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo, according to L’Equipe.
The centre-back has three years left on his deal, but the report says he and Khéphren Thuram will certainly leave Nice in the summer window. The duo are currently the highest valued players at the Ligue 1 side, and they are willing to cash in on the duo.
L’Equipe suggest the French club won’t be able to demand a lot because they weren’t as impressive in the recently concluded season as they were in the first half of 2023.
Unai Emery’s side, Manchester United, Atlético Madrid and Napoli have all followed the 24-year-old defender, and these clubs could make an approach for him.
Nice value the France international centre-back at €25m, and the report doesn’t mention if Aston Villa are willing to meet their demand to sign Todibo.
The French club are owned by INEOS, who also co-own the Red Devils. L’Equipe say this should give them an advantage over the Villans and other clubs in the transfer race.
