It seems Liverpool have now made an actual move to sign Ederson from Atalanta.

In the past few weeks, reports from the Italian media had already been relaying the Reds interest in buying the midfielder this summer.

Now journalist Jorge Nicola shows up with some exclusive news saying Liverpool made a bid to sign Ederson.

According to the Brazilian reporter, the Reds placed a €45m on the table. For now, there’s no information on Atalanta’s response to that.

With seven goals and one assist in 53 appearances, Ederson was one of the pillars in Atalanta’s great season, which saw them win the Europa League.

The midfielder is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €40m, and considering that he’s been linked to other Premier League clubs, it should be no surprise if the Serie A side demand a little more than what Liverpool offered.

Besides the Reds, the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United have all been said to be interested. Ederson recently received his first call up for the national team, and is set to take part in the Copa America, and that could bring his price up as well.
