A week ago, Area Napoli reported Chelsea have to find an agreement with Napoli for Victor Osimhen after he informally gave his approval to the Premier League side.
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna is set appoint a new manager, likely Antonio Conte, and work on reshaping the Serie A side’s squad in the summer window.
That’s according to Il Mattino, who say the director will need to find a replacement for Osimhen, who is liked by Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
It’s claimed the Nigeria international isn’t ‘indifferent at all to the London sirens’, and the English club have been chasing him for more than a year.
The 25-year-old has a €120m release clause and Chelsea, who want to avoid paying this, are working on different formulas to convince the Naples club. The Blues are ready to offer one of their players to lower the former Lille man’s price.
It’s claimed Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku pleases all parties and could ‘unblock the operation’ involving himself and Osimhen, especially because of Conte.
The former Juventus boss has managed Lukaku at Inter Milan and there’s a possibility for them to reunite at Napoli, provided the Chelsea player agrees to be part of the deal for Osimhen.
