After journalist Venê Casagrande revealed that the defender did not accept the contract offered by the Hammers, Globo Esporte now features a new story with more details on that case, and the situation doesn’t look very good for West Ham.
They explain that Fabricio Bruno has a high salary at Flamengo and the Hammers are offering something that is ‘not significantly higher’ than that.
That’s making the player think about some basic issues, such as the cost of living in London, which is way bigger than the one in Rio de Janeiro. Plus by leaving now, he’d be living far from his family for a while.
All those issues are leading Fabricio Bruno to reflect ‘many times’ about accepting the offer or not. And what makes the situation worse is that West Ham are said to be at their ‘limit’, and thus not willing to make a bigger offer.
Since the player dreams of playing in Europe, his staff are hopeful about receiving new conditions from the Hammers, even though the possibilities are deemed ‘low’.
