Juventus are aware of Newcastle United’s interest in defender Dean Huijsen and could sanction a deal to help them fund a move for Atalanta’s Teeun Koopmeiners.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say Juventus may open the door to a transfer simply because of the capital gain they can make from it.
The newspaper explains that Juventus want to add a new midfielder to their team this summer and Koopmeiners is the one they’ve got their eye on, particularly thanks to his performances for Atalanta this season.
The solution for them could be to sell off some of their highly rated youngsters and Huijsen is one of them.
He’s set to return from a successful loan spell at Roma, where he’s earned interest from Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle thanks to his displays.
Juventus value him highly and ordinarily wouldn’t want to sell him but ‘could monetise the right deal’ with a transfer abroad if the price is right.
In other words, if Newcastle were to make the right offer that would present Juventus with the chance to secure a serious profit, which would then fund a move for Koopmeiners, then the Italians could be tempted into the sale.
