Tottenham have been handed a blow in their long pursuit of Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson, with him now admitting the Premier League is no longer his dream scenario.

The striker has been impressing for Genoa this season, with a tally of 14 goals and three assists in 34 games in Serie A earning him admirers inside Italy and around Europe.
Tottenham have long been credited with an interest in him as they look to take advantage of the Italian market again this summer and a report today insisted they had been in contact about a potential move for some time.
Except, it seems that dream has now changed, with the striker insisting that things have now changed for him, words which may come as a body blow to Tottenham’s chances.
“(I’ll leave) only for a crazy opportunity,” he is quoted as saying to Sportweek.
‘If as a child I dreamt of the Premier, now I have changed my mind: here is life. Because my favourite position is that of number 10: for me it is important to have the freedom to be able to express my imagination and give vent to my shots.”
