West Ham United, Brighton and Hove Albion and Leicester City are all interested in Hertha Berlin youngster Ibrahim Maza.
That’s according to BILD, who say the Premier League trio are all showing interest in the 18-year-old despite an ‘insane’ price tag of €10m.
The newspaper explains that Maza has been earning attention in Germany this year after making his debut in the 2. Bundesliga back in February.
He is considered a ‘jewel’ by Hertha and is now being coveted by other teams, namely VfB Stuttgart, who are determined to sign him this summer.
They’ve been chasing him since March and even contacted Hertha recently to ask about his price tag. They were quoted €8m initially with the price eventually rising to €10m.
That was considered an ‘insane’ figure at this moment in time, but Hertha are sticking to their guns, because they know there is also Premier League interest in the playmaker.
West Ham, Brighton and Leicester are just some of the sides in England ‘keeping an eye’ on the youngster and their scouts have already been to the Berlin Olympic Stadium to watch him.
They could easily afford such a fee, which Stuttgart absolutely do not want to pay and will abandon their attempts if their compatriots do not budge.
That could give West Ham, Brighton and Leicester their chance to get him, if they consider that a fee worth paying.
