For the past two weeks, the Italian media have stated AC Milan have set their sights on Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal while Juventus are also said to be interested in him.
Bild now back it up when explaining Bayern Munich’s desire to sign the right-back in the summer window.
The 25-year-old scored a goal from 24 games for Tottenham in the recently concluded season.
Emerson’s playing time at Spurs has been limited this year, restricted to eight appearances. Ange Postecoglou has favored Pedro Porro ahead of him for the right-back position.
The Brazil international’s current situation at the north London club hasn’t stopped him from attracting attention from elsewhere. The Serie A duo are keen and the Bundesliga side have now joined them in showing interest in the player.
It’s claimed Bayern are ‘one of the several interesting options’ for the South American, if he were to leave Tottenham in the next window. His deal lasts until 2026 and Bild say the north London club could be ‘ready to sell’ the defender for €29m.
Bayern have signed Harry Kane and Eric Dier from Tottenham in the last two windows, and may return to the Premier League side again for Emerson.
Bouna Sarr’s exit from the Bavarian club has been confirmed, leaving Bayern with January signing Sacha Boey and Noussair Mazraoui as the two right-backs. As of now, it isn’t a priority for them to strengthen the same position this summer.
