Italian trio Verona, Torino and Parma are all interested in Celtic’s Sead Haksabanovic this summer when he returns from his loan spell at Stoke City.
That’s according to Fotboll Direkt, who report the Italian sides are the ones currently at the front of the queue for winger.
Haksabanovic joined Stoke on loan in September last year but has barely featured for the Championship side this season, managing just 25% of the available minutes in the Championship.
A report last month indicated he would be returning to Celtic at the end of the season as Stoke had no intention of buying him permanently.
They report that several clubs are ‘paying attention to him’ ahead of the summer and the majority of the interest is coming form Italy. They name Verona and Torino as the suitors in Serie A and Parma as an interested party in Serie B.
According to their information, Celtic value the winger at around €3m, slightly more than the €2.5m they paid to sign him from Rubin Kazan in August 2022.
The big question is what Celtic’s management want to do with him when he returns from Stoke, with it seemingly not yet decided if he has a future under Brendan Rodgers.
The suggestion has long been that he does not and if that is the case, there is seemingly interest in Italy in a potential deal.
