The Spanish media today shares some strong claims regarding Tottenham Hotspur’s effort to sign Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad.
According to Fichajes, Spurs ‘have submitted a tempting offer’ to win the race for the 22-year-old.
The website writes that Tottenham placed a €50m bid for the midfielder, as they’re ‘determined’ to take him for less than his €60m release clause.
The offer is labelled as ‘tempting’ for Real Sociedad, despite the club’s wish to keep their main players for next season.
It’s pointed out that the Spanish club might ‘seriously consider’ the bid, and it seems that there’s no decision made at this stage.
Kubo, who used to belong to Real Madrid, was sold to Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022 for only €6.5m. He ended up adapting well to his club, and has seven goals and three seasons in La Liga this season so far.
The player is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €60m, the same amount of his release clause.
Real Madrid have a €30m buyback clause, but it’s not thought they’ll use it at this stage and that would help Tottenham.
