Chelsea have opened talks to sign Feyenoord’s Quilindschy Hartman and he’s already visited London ahead of a possible move.
That’s according to 1908, who reports that he will have to wait for a potential move to Stamford Bridge thanks to a knee injury.
The website reports that Chelsea have scouted Hartman extensively in recent years and even opened talks with the 22-year-old in the last few months.
He’s been listening to their offer, and he even travelled to London last weekend to watch Chelsea in the North London derby against Arsenal, which the Blues lost 5-0.
While this summer would have been a good time to move for all parties, a recent knee injury picked up in the clash against FC Utrecht means the left-back will probably be out until the end of this calendar year.
It cannot be ruled out that Chelsea will move after that, and insiders have told 1908 that the Blues had expected to convince the player of the move and then formally expressed that to Feyenoord.
They can’t do so for the time being, but they remain interested and there’s every possibility they’ll revive their plans when he returns from injury.
