It seems Watford may have to sell Yaser Asprilla this summer.
This information is brought by the Colombian media, where journalist Pipe Sierra brings some interesting news on the 20-year-old’s future.
It’s claimed that Watford sources say it’ll be ‘very hard’ to keep the youngster at Vicarage Road for another season.
Sierra was told that Jonathan Herrera, the winger’s agent, is currently holding negotiations with clubs from England, Italy and Spain.
It’s said there’s also an Arabian club who’ve sent a ‘letter of interest’ for a ‘multimillionaire offer’.
For now, it’s still unclear how much those clubs want to pay for Asprilla, or even how much Watford will demand for his departure.
The Hornets only spent €3m to get the winger from Envigado in 2022, and now see Transfermarkt valuing him at €8m. Besides his six goals and seven assists for the club this season, he’s been a regular starter there, with 46 appearances so far.
Since Watford no longer have a chance of promotion to the Premier League, it seems inevitable that they could make that kind of sale in the summer.
