Sead Haksabanovic is set to leave Stoke City and make a return to Celtic, with the return already agreed.
That’s according to Fotboll Direkt, who report that the Montenegrin star has already agreed to leave Stoke regardless of whether they stay in the Championship or not.
The two parties have agreed to go their separate ways and he will be returning to Celtic at the end of the season when his loan deal ends. Whether he is a part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans at Celtic Park, though, remains to be seen.
The move has not worked out and they’ve now decided to part ways in the summer, with an injury picked up at the beginning of the deal seemingly causing issues.
He’ll now return to Celtic but they may face issues getting rid of him if they want a permanent exit, with Fotboll Direkt reporting that he will be ‘expensive to release’ from his current deal, which runs until 2027.
It’s a situation for Brendan Rodgers and his side to work out in the coming weeks, with Stoke City having already written off a deal and Haksabanovic returning to Celtic this summer as a result.
