Trabzonspor may have hinted they won’t be making a permanent move for Southampton’s Paul Onuachu in the summer, by targeting someone to replace him ahead of the summer.
Lensois report that the Turkish side are showing interest in striker Adam Buksa, who is unlikely to be bought permanently by Antalyaspor.
The striker has been on loan at Antalyaspor from Lens this season and impressed, with 14 goals in 30 league games. That’s been noted by Trabzonspor, who are following his performances closely.
They currently have Onuachu in the position on loan from Southampton, but all indications are at this moment in time he’ll be returning to the south coast rather than making his move permanent.
That means there could be a place to be filled in Trabzonspor’s attack and Buksa could be the man to do it. He would also be cheaper, with him currently valued at €5m and Southampton likely to demand more than that for Onuachu as they try to recoup as much as possible for him.
This is a further report that would indicate Trabzonspor will be sending Onuachu back this summer, something we’re sure will go down well at Southampton.
