It’s that stage of the season at which an injury can easily rule a player out for the rest of the current campaign.
Right now, Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney may be in that exact situation.
Spain’s El Chiringuito report the fullback, who is spending the season on loan at Real Sociedad from the Gunners, picked up an injury in training on Wednesday.
According to the source, the Arsenal owned player has injured his right adductor longus muscle, and La Real are waiting for clinical tests and the subsequent evaluation to see how long he’ll be out.
Given this latest issue, it’s obviously doubtful that Real Sociedad will look to make the player’s move permanent when the loan from Arsenal comes to an end.
The 26-year-old doesn’t seem to have a place in Mikel Arteta’s plans and therefore the Gunners will need to find a new solution in the summer.
Tierney has a contract with Arsenal lasting until June 2026.
